James Hees Draws a Great Crowd at Audreys Books
James Hees enjoyed a successful afternoon at Audreys Books in Edmonton on October 4, 2026, where around 30 guests gathered for a reading and signing of his memoir, Born to be Mild.
James read from the book, shared a few of the stories behind it, and spent time meeting guests and signing copies.
In Born to be Mild, James looks back on a life filled with memorable characters, close calls, and unexpected turns. Told with dark humour, sharp wit, and a self-deprecating voice, the memoir turns some of life’s more uncomfortable moments into stories that are both funny and memorable.
Thank you to Audreys Books for hosting the afternoon, and to everyone who came out to support James and his book.
